In October I said I was going to feature a few guest posts, but in the end I didn't have time to
feature more than one. So over the next couple of weeks you'll see a couple more posts I had
lined up a while ago from some amazing beauty bloggers that definitely deserve to be shown!
Firstly I have the lovely Charlee posting on her Autumn must-haves...keep in mind,
she sent this to me October, but all the picks are great choices for winter as well :)
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Hi lovelies, I’m Charlee from Charmed Charlee and Bow Tied Beauty has kindly invited me to guest post on her blog.
I want to share with you guys my top 5-autumn/fall products.
As you all know the weather is getting colder and the winter months are quickly approaching, this means a change in your makeup from those bright summer colours.
My first autumn must have product is: Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation
I have brought this foundation with me from the summer, this is a lovely light foundation with light to medium coverage which is easily buildable. I chose this item to feature over others down to price, this cost £9.99 which is very affordable for foundations and the quality of this is great, the only downfall is that the colour range is limited so I use colours 51 and 53.
This product has created a lot of buzz and excitement in the blogging world with its resemblance to Nars. I have chose this because it can essentially be two products in one, and I like to have darker rosier cheeks in the colder months and this does the trick perfectly without looking too orange. Again this item is a bargain at only 3.99 and the lasting power is great for the price.
Thirdly I have chosen: Elf Conditioning Lip Balm
You may think this product is more for the summer with its SPF of 15 but I have chosen this because I adore the darker colour blissful berry, I love darker lips in the autumn and the balm can be buildable, when applying lightly it gives a dark rosy pink however when built up its a gorgeous dark berry. I quite like the smell of this product, at first I wasn't keen but its grown on me, and what's better this product is good for your lips. Another bargain at 3.50!
The Fourth product chosen is: Maybelline's Gel Liner
This is a product I rarely used during the summer but now the months are becoming colder for some reason I've been reaching for this, and I love it! I don't know why I haven't used it more, this jet-black colour lasts for ages and I find it great for making flicks. This is one of those products I've found that I don't need to get much product on my brush as it's heavily pigmented which means it will last me a while.
Finally the last product I chose was: Avon Matte Nail Varnish
Matte nails are becoming ever so popular, and I find this a perfect look for your nails in the autumn. Dark matte colours happen to be my favourite at the moment and I find to help make them last a little longer put a matte topcoat on top. They are aren't the best polishes if you're chip prone but they do look great when applied chip free, I find reds work really well in matte nails (as this is a colour I rarely go for) almost giving a Christmassy feel.
What products have you been using in these colder months?
