If you read my post about my
Origin's splurge then you'll know my ongoing trouble with skincare and how sensitive and reactive my skin can be. Being the beauty junkie that I am I'm not sure why I never thought to test out organic ranges before. Surely organic and natural ingredients would be much less likely to cause irritation? Well...a few weeks back I was doing some beauty blog reading and came upon a review of
Mu London. The look of their 100% natural organic ingredients really wowed me and made me excited to try out something new. Specifically designed for dry/sensitive skin it sounded like it might do me some good.
As well as the bonus of containing amazingly concentrated ingredients with absolutely no chemicals, I also found the brand's ethos appealing. Mu London are completely against animal testing, and are registered by the Vegan Society and PETA. Being an animal lover and former vegetarian (I tried) I really think this is a superb company in terms of the standards they uphold.

Onto the products...When I had a thorough look around on their website I was honestly at a loss for which cleanser and moisturiser to try out. Believe me they all sound amazing! From their White Chocolate Truffle to Frankincense, Marigold and Myrrh Moisturiser I was stuck for choice. On the verge of making an impulse decision I decided to actually look at the description of each product rather than clicking on the one I had lovingly gazed at the most. A monumental moment of decisive action meant I settled on the Rose Cleanser and Moisturiser which says in the description, "it will pamper, balance and nourish dry and irritated skin...in a base of Shea butter, Coconut butter and Golden Jojoba oil". This sounded completely perfect for my moisture deprived skin! I received the Rose products about two weeks ago and have been using them morning and evening ever since.
The Cleanser, as you can see above, is a foaming one, which made me a bit hesitant at first because I know how drying they can be and I usually associate them with use for oily skin. BUT, I was pleasantly surprised. The foam was creamy and felt velvety on my skin with an amazing rich rose scent. In the morning I've really loved using it as it's incredibly refreshing and quick to use. Most importantly of all though, it hasn't irritated my skin!! :) No red rashes or itchiness in sight.

The moisturiser is like nothing I've ever used before. I would describe it as a rich balm-like texture, which at first I wasn't too sure about, but after using it for a while I've grown to love it. If you heat it up in your hands then it's much easier to apply, I then smooth it onto my face and neck. As the texture is so rich I find it takes a little while to absorb, but once it does it leaves my skin amazingly soft and creates a great base for makeup. I also love using this as an eye cream as it's so gentle and moisturising.
I have to be honest in that I didn't notice an instant calming or cooling effect on my skin with either product, but the more I used this skincare, the more I noticed an imporvement in texture and skintone. I've definitely seen my skin become a bit brighter, although this is probably from the redness decreasing (and me not being used to seeing clear skin!) and my dry patches have improved a lot.
Overall, I've really fallen for Mu London's products. They're full to the brim with lovely natural ingredients which is really what I've found my skin's in dire need of. If you suffer from dry/sensitive/irritated skin then I really can't recommend these products more.
