Feel Unique's January Beauty Box!

I'm a little bit late in the way of reviewing this month's Feel Unique beauty box but I thought I'd still share my opinion and thoughts :) This is the first time I've tried Feel Unique after unsubscribing from Carmine because of my need to try out more boxes and my budget sadly not letting me stretch to two. On first impressions I absolutely love the packaging, the box is jam packed with products and there's definitely been some thought put into the theme 'New Year, New You'.

The products . . .

Dead Sea Spa Magik Salt Brushing
Caudalie Nourishing Body Lotion
This Works Skin Clean Daily Wash
Phyto Phytobaume Conditioner
Lierac Creme Mesolift Anti-Ageing Radiance

What I'm most impressed with immediately is the size of the samples. They are most definitely luxury sized. The price is also a big plus at just £9.95 (no extra £3 p&p!), which makes it the cheapest I've paid yet for a beauty box. But I guess it's the products inside the box that count the most . . .

Phyto Phytobaume Conditioner

This conditioner is an interesting addition to the box that I'm definitely looking forward to trying out. I've never heard of the brand before and I'm interested to look into the rest of the range.
Usual retail: £10.20 for 150 ml.

Lierac Creme Mesolift Anti-Ageing Radiance

A reason why I get a little disappointed with beauty boxes sometimes is that they often contain samples of products that are anti-aging and designed for more mature skin. As I'm sure beauty boxes are subscribed to by a broad range of ages this can be a little frustrating. However, Lierac's moisturiser does seem lovely, the texture is rich and the scent is amazing. I would have tried this, but at the moment I'm a little cautious about trying new skincare not designed for sensitive skin . . This was passed onto my mum :p
Usual retail: £29.80 for 50ml.

This Works Clean Skin Daily Wash

This Works products are great and are usually quite pricey so I was very excited to see this included! This non-drying cream cleanser is meant to protect the balance of your skin whilst gently removing dirt and makeup. This sounds great for my dry skin and I will definitely post a review if it proves to be worth paying for.
Usual retail: £18 for 150ml

Caudalie Nourishing Body Lotion

Caudalie's Nourishing Body Lotion is a "rich and hydrating body treatment enriched with plant-derived ingredients". I'm always on the fence about Caudalie's products. Their products for the face often don't work for my skin but I'm still happy to try their body lotion which does sound like it might do my winter skin some good.
Usual retail: £15.30 for 250 ml.

Dead Sea Spa Magik Salt Brushing

Also included in the box was Dead Sea Spa Magik Salt Brushing samples. The scrub is a blend of mud, salt and mineral extracts from the depths of the dead sea that are supposed to help hydrate, soothe and repair. This was actually included in last year's September Glossy box . . . so I wasn't too exited about trying it again when I use beauty boxes to try new products. Having tried it though I can say that it is a lovely product that really moisturises the skin and leaves it very smooth. I will happily use this up, although have to admit I'm a little disappointed about its inclusion.
Usual retail: £12.25 for £500g

Would I pay for next month's box?

I have to say that overall I'm really impressed with Feel Unique and will be keeping my subscription. The price is great and the brands included are of good quality that come with generous samples. However there wasn't a great mix in this box as there was only skincare, a drawback if you like variation, but it's still definitely one of the better boxes I've tried.

What other beauty boxes do you recommend?  :)
Have you tried this month's Feel Unique beauty box?

  3. I got a glossy box onces and I did quite like it but I wasn't sure about paying monthly for things I may or may not like. I've heard of Feel Unique before and I know it's better value for money. I'm looking into Carmine too because I hear it's mostly make up? But I'm not sure yet whether to subscribe to any or none at all! It looks like you got some great stuff in your Feel Unique box though, and the samples were really generous! xo

    1. It is really hard deciding what box to go for, if at all. I've tried quite a few now just so I can see which one I want to stick to, and I definitely like both Carmine and Feel Unique :) Although sometimes there are definitely months when I wonder why I've paid £10 for something that wasn't worth it...sometimes it seems lucky when you get a 'good' box. Let me know what box you do get though if you decide to subscribe :) x

    1. I know in England for some reason they seem to have really taken off and there are so many companies now that offer them now! That's a shame there isn't much choice in Canada though, I'm sure they'll probably bring some out soon :)
